For years, we've been following plans to open a 24 Hour Fitness gym in Roseville's Campus Oaks Town Center. The retail center is located near the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. campus.

Update: The gym at 1533 Blue Oaks Blvd. will officially open Aug. 12, according to an announcement from the company. The 38,000-square-foot location includes elements such as a cold plunge pool, saunas and a variety of exercise equipment, the announcement states. The fitness chain has several other sites in the Sacramento area, including a Roseville gym on North Sunrise Avenue.

The upcoming opening marks a milestone for a long-planned gym project whose status was once unclear.

Campus Oaks Town Center also includes businesses such as Ben's Barketplace and Nugget Market. The center was one of the Business Journal's Best Real Estate Projects last year.
